Why We Built Quickstrike

Quickstrike Systems exists to modernize critical workflows with tools that are usable, adaptable, and purpose driven.

About Quickstrike Systems

Quickstrike Systems was founded by LT Colin Ferguson and SSG Edward Hardiman. The idea for FAME came up after the two saw firsthand the shortcomings in artillery training. Both the lack of consistent training standards, as well as the slow, manual creation of training missions, led to the idea of automated generation being implemented to increase mission processing proficiency, as well as better prepare artillery crews and units for real world operations.

Our Mission

Our mission is to develop practical, mission focused software that strengthen readiness, reduce unnecessary manual workload, and improve operational effectiveness across Field Artillery. Built around real-world military requirements and firsthand experience, Quickstrike Systems exists to modernize critical workflows with tools that are usable, adaptable, and purpose driven. By helping units train more efficiently, standardize key processes, and better support mission execution, we aim to deliver technology that provides clear operational value and contributes directly to mission success.

Our Team

Colin Ferguson

Founder & CEO

Colin Ferguson is the Founder of Quickstrike Systems and is based in South Florida. He graduated from the University of Miami in 2024 and is a proud Miami Hurricanes fan. He grew up in Washington, D.C. and moved to South Florida in college, eventually commissioning as a Field Artillery Officer (13A) in the Florida Army National Guard. His experience in the military has shaped the way he approaches leadership, problem-solving, and innovation.

He developed FAME (Field Artillery Mission Engine) alongside Edward Hardiman to modernize and accelerate the production of realistic artillery and rocket fire missions for training and operational use. They built it to reduce manual workload, minimize error, and standardize mission output, with the goal of helping fire support personnel and units train more efficiently and effectively.

His professional interests center on defense innovation and building simple but practical tools that improve mission preparation and training outcomes. Outside of work, he enjoys golf, hiking, traveling, and spending time outdoors. He brings a disciplined, mission-focused mindset to everything he does.

Edward Hardiman

Co-Founder & COO

Edward Hardiman is a devoted husband and proud father of four, grounded in family values and a strong work ethic. He brings over 16 years of dedicated service in the Florida National Guard, where he has served as a 13J Fire Direction Coordinator. Throughout his military career, he has supported multiple deployments across the Middle East, including Kuwait, Qatar, Jordan, and Syria, spanning from 2013 to 2025. His service has been recognized with the Bronze Star, reflecting his commitment, leadership, and performance under pressure.

In 2025, while deployed, he co-founded Quickstrike Systems alongside Colin Ferguson—an initiative born out of operational experience and a drive to innovate and improve efficiency in demanding environments.

Beyond the military, he is a farmer and rancher, committed to providing quality, locally grown fresh vegetables and raising beef cattle. Agriculture is more than a profession for him; it is a way of life that reflects discipline, resilience, and a deep connection to the land.

Whether in uniform, in business, or on the farm, he takes pride in serving his community, leading by example, and building a legacy for his family rooted in integrity, hard work, and service.

Jordan Cundiff

CTO

Jordan Cundiff is a Field Artillery Officer in the Minnesota Army National Guard with over twenty years of experience in unmanned aircraft systems. His career includes deployments to Iraq and Afghanistan, along with roles in aviation operations, technical support, and site leadership. He complements that experience with a technical generalist’s curiosity and broad working familiarity across many disciplines, connecting ideas to solve practical problems.

Drawing on his operational background and experience in field artillery, Jordan developed Counterbattery, a training simulator designed to strengthen manual gunnery proficiency through realistic missions and competitive training. His professional interests center on translating firsthand experience into practical tools that improve military training and readiness.

He brings an operator’s perspective to development, emphasizing technical accuracy, straightforward design, and the needs of the soldiers using the system.

Andrew Sage

Cannon Consultant

Andrew Sage is a 13J Fire Direction Coordinator in the Florida Army National Guard with 16 years of service in field artillery. He grew up in Michigan and spent many years in Tennessee, where he served in the Tennessee Army National Guard on the M109A7 Paladin. In 2022, he transferred to Florida and moved from cannon to rocket artillery, where he now works with HIMARS. His service includes deployments to Poland in 2018 in support of Operation Atlantic Resolve and to Kuwait in 2025 in support of Operation Spartan Shield.

Andrew serves in the same battalion as Edward Hardiman and met Colin Ferguson during the Kuwait deployment. At Quickstrike Systems, he is the team’s Paladin and cannon artillery consultant. Having worked in both cannon and rocket units, he brings a core understanding of artillery projectiles in both forms and of the internal and external variables that affect them, knowledge that helps keep fire missions both fast and accurate.

He is a firm believer that technical skills can only be taught well through clear and accurate communication, a principle he carries into his work with Quickstrike. Outside of work, he lives in Arcadia, Florida, with his partner and a small menagerie of cats, birds, and a sulcata tortoise. Many of the birds were rescued through Wildlife Inc., where he was a weekly volunteer for a couple of years and still lends a hand when he can.
